Supporting the National Strategy for the De-Institutionalisation of persons with disabilities in Jordan under the Social Protection and Social Development, in close collaboration with the Ministry of Social Development.
Responsible for performing duties with the aim of integrating the social protection lens through provides guidance and technical support to projects in accordance with the overall technical frameworks and standards within its sectoral perimeter, Provides technical learning from projects, Contributes to the animation of its trade sector, Contributes to ensuring technical influence within its perimeter, Ensure the design of the training and the development of skills, Contribute to project planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluating activities within project scope and Contribute to project monitoring, specifically activity progress indicators and the expected outcomes through doing the following activities Provide appropriate technical guidance and support to project managers and/or specialists.
Ensure that the project(s) activities are implemented according to internal quality and technical standards and propose adjustments or improvements if necessary.
Adapt project documentation as required in accordance with global technical norms and standards.
Contribute to the regular reporting of the technical activities of its perimeter (collection and analysis of the technical data collected) in conjunction with the project team and the MEAL team.
Propose Research & Studies Topics and Supervise data collection for research activities.
Adapt the project documentation to international technical norms and standards, when necessary.
Make sure global and field technical specialists get the information they require and collaborate with Technical Divisions when necessary.
Collect the elements necessary for capitalization or scientific documentation exercises.
Contribute to technical learning and in collaboration with Technical Specialists and project staff, based on good practice. Responsible for technical learning from projects by drawing on lessons learned and good practices.
Adjust the activities to audit recommendations, if applicable.
Implement recommendations for improving the technical quality of projects.
Ensure the technical quality and relevance of project activities implemented within his scope of expertise conduct self-evaluation of the project and participate in evaluation cycles.
Develop the planning and the budget for the training and the interventions: Training duration, rhythm, Place, third-part intervention, modality, Global Logistics, and administration.
Design and develop the pedagogical modalities (e-learning, case study, tools development and tools adaptation, …) taking into consideration the evolution of the profession, feedback from learners.
Responsible for performing duties with the aim of integrateing a protection and gender perspective into all sectors of programming and activities, so as to ensure that gender and protection are mainstreamed and strengthened. Ensure that protection principles are upheld in all operations, projects and activities through: technical guidance to field staff, the development of practical tools adapted to the context and sectors of programming, the identification of protection risks and mitigation measures, and the capacity building of programme and support staff on protection related topics by performing the following activities
Providing support to the officers in fields as well as developing tools, guidelines and trainings for all staff.
Day to day follow up on actions taken in the field and providing guidance were needed.
Following referrals of all identified cases and reported with relevant parties.
Submitting bi-weekly reports and minutes of meeting to keep management informed and updated. This included providing factsheets, progress reports.
Analyzing and following safety audits for the camps.
Supporting officers to monitor and raise the protection issues and gaps in camps as well as following and dealing with protection issues with relevant parties.
Participating in capacity building activities on a various of topics (protection maintsreaming, gender, GBV, CP, safety audit, gender,age diversity approach, interviewing techniques, communication skills) for the teams by developing training materials and providing trainings, information sessions and follow up as well as support trainings provided in the field by actively following up on training delivery whenever needed. This also included coordinating with external training providers to share their experiences to the teams.
Ensuring that programming activities consistency of actions, advocacy and communications for inclusion, equal opportunities and empowerment of women in all their diversity, youth, people with disabilities, refugees and other groups and individuals in disadvantaged positions.
Providing assistance to management in conducting interviews, performance notes, and staff management activities as well as any other tasks requested by management.
Protection project in Mafraq & Irbid Governorates as well as Access to Justice project as a development project for Training and Rehabilitation Centers in Jordan.
Provide case management service to the vulnerable persons of concern (PoCs) especially children in conflict with the law in Jordan by working directly with the PoCs, their families as well as organizations in order to help individual children and families through direct social-work support.
The role focus on mentoring, coaching and supporting the work of Ministry of Social Development (MoSD) social workers and behavioural monitors to strengthen their capacity to apply the case management approach for children deprived of liberty or at risk of being in conflict with the law and works mostly within Training and Rehabilitation Centres (TRCs) to support MoSD staff to provide services that meet relevant minimum standards and are in line with national SOPs, but also work in the community to support -in close coordination with MoSD- prevention of children entering into contact with the law.
The role also involves supporting in tailoring PSS training to the needs of the TRCs and the children there as well as supporting the families of the children to strengthen their support for the children after they return to their families.
Providing ongoing support and expertise through comprehensive assessment, planning, evaluation, and monitoring for the needs of the Syrian Refugees in Jordan. This was done by working directly with the PoCs and tailoring care plans that gives children and their families ownership to find the best solution to the issues they are facing.
The project in Jordan is coordinated by the UNHCR and involve preparing care plans, best interest assessment, best interest determination and continuous follow-up with child protection cases.
